Consumer prices in the countries participating in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development rose 2.8% in June in annual terms after rising by 2.6% in May. The increase in energy prices accelerated to 10.4% from 9.1% a month earlier. Food inflation accelerated from 1.4% to 1.8%. Excluding energy and food prices, inflation in June remained at the May level of 2%. The growth of consumer prices accelerated in Canada, Italy and the United States. In France, Japan and Great Britain, the indicator remained stable. In 19 eurozone countries, consumer prices rose by 2% against growth of 1.9% in May. In the G20 countries, inflation accelerated to 3.1% from 2.9%.
