In July, consumer prices in the UK increased by 2.5% in annual terms after an increase of 2.4% for three consecutive months, according to the Office for National Statistics. Relative to the previous month, prices did not change. The dynamics of both indicators coincided with the forecasts of the market. Without taking into account the price of food, alcohol, tobacco and energy, consumer prices rose by 1.9%, as well as in June. Food and non-alcoholic beverages went up by 0.2% compared to June. Alcohol and tobacco products fell 0.3%, clothing and footwear - 3.7%. Prices for transportation services increased by 1.3%, for communications - by 0.5%, for health care - by 0.1%. Prices at restaurants and hotels increased prices by 0.2%.
