On the eve of an informal meeting of the heads of EU members in Salzburg, EU President Donald Tusk announced the transition of the Brexit talks to a decisive stage and said that some of London's plans for Britain's exit from the bloc he considered positive. To them, in particular, he referred the readiness of the British government to work in the sphere of security and foreign policy. At the same time, he said that the EU considers it necessary to rework a number of issues, such as the foundations of economic cooperation and the Irish issue. Since there is less and less time left before Brexit, Donald Tusk plans to offer to convene an additional summit in mid-November at a meeting of EU members on September 20.
