Consumer prices in the US rose in July by 0.2% compared to the previous month and by 2.9% in annual terms, according to the data of the country's Ministry of Labor. Both indicators coincided with the forecasts of analysts. Without taking into account the price of energy and food products, prices increased by 0.2% compared to June and by 2.4% in annual terms. The annual growth rate was the highest since September 2008. Food prices went up by 0.1% in June, cars - by 0.3%, housing - by 0.2%, air tickets - by 2.7%, transportation services - by 0.3%. At the same time, the price reduction was fixed for energy carriers, by 0.5%, for clothes - by 0.3%, for health services - by 0.2%.
