The GDP of Armenia in the first quarter grew by 10.6% in annual terms, the country's Office for National Statistics reported. The volume of industrial production increased by 8.2%. The growth of agricultural production was 2.2%, growth in construction - 23%. The sphere of trade showed an increase of 12.9%, service sector - by 16.5%. Foreign trade turnover increased by 37.4% to 1 billion 716 million 700 thousand dollars. Export grew by 34.4% to 597 million 300 thousand dollars. Import increased by 39% and reached 1 billion 119 million 400 thousand dollars. The increase in electricity generation was 0.4%.
