In national currency, the volume of investments amounted to 478.33 billion yuan, which is 7.2% more than a year earlier. The June figure was at 16.13 billion dollars, an increase of 3% over the year. In yuan terms, foreign investment in China jumped 8.5% to 109.27 billion yuan. Over the half-year, 20 thousand 131 new enterprises were opened by foreign investors in China. China's high-tech sector recorded a 44.3% increase in foreign investment in annual terms. The share of this category in the total volume of foreign investments was 28.8%. The largest increase in direct investment in the Chinese economy was shown by Germany, the investments of its investors increased by 81.3%.
