The economy of Belarus for the period from January to May this year in comparable prices rose by 4.7% in annual terms to 44 billion 900 million BYN, the National Statistics Committee Belstat reported. Compared with the rise of 5.1% in the first quarter, GDP growth in Belarus slowed. Over the period from January to May 2018, the GDP deflator index in annual terms was 110.3%. The government expect that this year GDP will grow by at least 3.5% after a rise of 2.4% following the results of the last year.
