Hong Kong occupied the first place in the ranking of the most expensive cities in the world for constantly working foreigners, the study of the international consulting firm Mercer showed. The company has investigated 209 major cities for the cost of housing, transport, food, clothing, entertainment and services, as well as fluctuations in the rates of the national currencies used in them. The second place was taken by Tokyo, the third – by Zurich, the fourth – by Singapore, the fifth – by Seoul. In the top five most expensive cities in the world, four of them are Asian. According to the results of the study, all European cities rose in the rating due to the strengthening of the euro against the dollar. The cheapest cities for living were Tashkent, Tunisia and Bishkek.
