The Italian statistical agency Istat reported an increase in industrial production in February by 0.8% compared to the previous month. The growth rate slowed down compared with an increase in its volume by 1.9% in January. Nevertheless, the indicator turned out to be better than the forecasts of experts, who had expected it to fall by 0.8%. The industrial production indicator, excluding seasonal and calendar factors, increased by 0.9% compared to the same month last year. For the period from December to February, its volume decreased by 0.3% relative to the previous three months. The growth in the output of means of production in February was at the level of 1.1%. At the same time, electricity was generated 2.4% less than a month earlier.
