The growth of the Kazakhstan economy in 2018 was 4.1%, the press service of the Ministry of National Economy of the country reports. In amendments to the law on the budget of Kazakhstan for 2018-2020, GDP growth was planned at the level of 3.8%, but the country's president noted that the preferred result would be a 4% rise. The economy reached such a growth rate in 2017. According to the Statistical Committee of the Ministry for the National Economy, compared with the same period last year, the volume of industrial production in 2018 increased by 4.1%. Production in the mining industry increased by 4.6%, in manufacturing - by 4%, in electricity supply, gas supply, steam - by 2.4%. The extraction of oil, gas and metal ores, as well as the production of consumer goods, increased in relation to the indicators of the previous year.
