In June, manufacturing confidence in France weakened amid a decline in external demand and weak manufacturing prospects in the country. A report of Insee revealed a decline in the index of industrial relations to 102 points from the May value of 104 points. Economists had not expected changes in the May index value. The indicator, which determines the expectations regarding personal production, amounted to 8 points in June, having decreased from 12 points a month earlier. A general index of production expectations also showed a decline - from 3 to 4 points. The data for June indicated the lowest export order balance since October 2014, which was minus 17 points. The index of general orders also recorded a decline - to minus 12 points from minus 8 points. The composite index of business confidence in France was 106 points in June, maintaining the level of May.
