Two British companies - Marks & Spencer, a chain of department stores, and Ocado, the online supermarket, - create a joint venture in the field of food trade. The companies published a joint announcement announcing that they would own 50% shares in the joint venture. To buy 50% of the British Ocado retail business worth 750 million pounds, Marks & Spencer plans to place shares worth 600 million pounds among its shareholders. A joint venture that starts operating on the Ocado.com platform tentatively by September 2020 will be able to offer its customers unprecedented online shopping opportunities.
