Mercedes will build an enterprise for the production of electric batteries for cars in Poland, Prime Minister, Mateusz Moravetsky, said. The Prime Minister of Poland praised the company's decision to start producing batteries as very successful. The plant will be opened in Jawor, a city in the south-west of the country. According to the Prime Minister, the new enterprise will become a stable place of work and transfer of new technologies. Marcus Schaefer, a member of the company's board, said that the Polish plant would create about a thousand new jobs. Factory employees will produce batteries for electric and hybrid cars.
