The American stock exchange operator NASDAQ announced that it had withdrawn its offer to acquire Oslo Boers VPS Holding. The company explained the refusal by saying that many of its shareholders did not support the NASDAQ proposal to acquire the stock exchange at a price of 158 NOK per share. Earlier it was reported that the desire to acquire Oslo Boers was also expressed by the operator of the Euronext exchange, which already directly owns 5.3% of the shares of the Oslo exchange. The Pan-European Stock Exchange offered for each share of the Oslo Exchange also 158 NOK. These conditions have previously been accepted by the holders of 45.2% of the shares of the Oslo Stock Exchange. In addition, the Euronext application for the acquisition of the Oslo Stock Exchange was approved by the Norwegian Ministry of Finance.
