Over the past 3 months, contracts for approximately 7.5 cubic meters per year have been concluded with suppliers of liquefied natural gas from the United States to Poland, US Ambassador to Poland, Georgette Mosbacher, said. According to her, this volume already covers a huge share in the needs of Poland. Therefore, taking into account further supplies, Poland could become the center for re-exporting LNG in Europe. The ambassador noted that the new technologies used by American enterprises allowed them to produce 805 billion cubic meters of gas in 2018, which made the USA the leader in this field. US plans to increase production in the current year. According to the American ambassador, the United States exports LNG to 30 countries on five continents, being one of its largest exporters in the world.
