Argentine state oil and gas company YPF reported on an agreement reached with the Belgian Exmar, which will allow the Argentine corporation to place a liquefied natural gas installation for 10 years on the basis of the floating Exmar LNG plant. YPF will start producing and exporting LNG from a field in the Neuquen Basin in Argentina in the second quarter of 2019. Argentina plans to start deliveries of LNG to foreign markets from 500 thousand tons per year. In the future, it is planned to export annually eight batches of liquefied natural gas.
