The final data from Insee confirmed a preliminary estimate of France’s GDP growth in the first quarter at 0.3% compared with the previous quarter, when a rise of 0.4% was recorded. The indicator met the forecasts of economists. Relative to the same period last year, the French economy increased by 1.2%. According to experts, growth was expected at 1.1%. In the first quarter, in France, consumer spending increased in quarterly terms by 0.4% and government spending increased by 0.2%. Enterprises increased investment by 0.5%. During the quarter, French exports increased by 0.4%, while imports grew by 1.4%.
