The French automaker Renault Group, following the results of the first half of the year, reported a drop in sales of 6.7% from the same period a year earlier to 1.94 million vehicles. Nevertheless, the group was able to keep the global car market share at 4.4% due to a decrease in global car sales by 7.1%. During this period, the company sold 1.23 million Renault cars and light trucks. Over the year, this figure fell by 11.5%. Brand Dacia recorded sales growth by 4.5% to 395.1 thousand units. The growth at the level of 8.7% was demonstrated by the Lada brand, the number of sold cars of this brand was 199.16 thousand. The largest increase in sales was shown by the sports brand Alpine, their figure jumped 4.5% to 2.85 thousand cars. Brands such as Renault Samsung Motors, Jinbei and Huasong showed decreased sales. For six months, the company sold more than 30.6 thousand electric vehicles, which is 42.9% more than a year earlier.
