Retail turnover in Finland declined slightly in November last year, although it shows high growth rates for two months in a row. Excluding car sales, retail sales grew by 3.6% compared to last year, while in October the increase was 3.9%. The turnover of consumer goods grew by 4.2%, while sales at department stores showed an increase of 2.7%. Car sales, by contrast, declined by 2.8%. The volume of sales of retail goods grew by only 2.3% in November 2018 compared with 2.7% in October.
