The European technology and innovation platform for photovoltaic cells, having conducted research at the Lappeenranta University of Technology, concluded that by 2050 solar power stations and roof panels could make up 69% of the energy market. At the same time wind turbines by this time will occupy a share of 18%. According to scientists, it is necessary to stop the construction of new oil, coal and nuclear power plants. Ramping up the volume of solar and wind generation by 3-4% per year will make photocells the world's largest energy source by 2050. The European Commission believes that in the next 20 years, the industrial sector needs to be 80% transferred to renewable energy sources, which would result in savings in the range of 2-3 trillion euros after 2030.
