The confidence index of German entrepreneurs to the economy of the country in July fell to 101.7 points from 101.8 points in June, data of the research institute ifo showed. Analysts had expected even greater decline - to 101.5 points. The ratio to the current situation improved to 105.3 points from 105.1 points a month earlier. The indicator, which determines the expectations of German business leaders for the near future, decreased by 0.4 points to 98.2 points. The decline in the confidence index in the manufacturing industry was observed for the sixth consecutive month. The decrease in trust was also noted in the sphere of trade. At the same time, in the services sector, the figure rose, and in construction it reached a record level.
