Statistical Office of France reported the final data following the results of the fourth quarter, according to which the country's GDP grew in the fourth quarter of last year by 0.3% compared to the previous quarter and by 0.9% compared with the same quarter of 2017. The indicators confirmed the estimates of experts and coincided with preliminary statistical data. In annual terms, the economic growth rate slowed down compared with a rise of 1.3% a quarter earlier. At the same time, quarterly growth maintained the pace of the third quarter. During the quarter, exports increased by 2.3%, imports increased by 1.4%. Consumer spending did not change, while government spending rose by 0.4%. The growth of the French economy for the whole 2018 slowed to 1.5% from 2.3% a year earlier.
