ZEW Research Institute published data on the level of investor confidence in the German economy in March. The corresponding index calculated by the institute was minus 3.6 points, having increased from February level to minus 13.4 points. The value of the index in March exceeded the forecast of economists in minus 11 points. At the same time, the decline of the indicator on the current situation in the country's economy to 11.1 points from 15 points was worse than the forecasts of experts, who had expected the indicator at the level of 13 points. ZEW experts also reported an increase in business confidence in the eurozone economy in March to minus 2.5 points from minus 16.6 points a month earlier.
