The National Bank of Kazakhstan kept the base rate at the same level – 9%, with the corridor +/- 1. The Central Bank also said that the rate on liquidity provision operations was maintained at 10%, the liquidity withdrawal rate – at 8%. The official refinancing rate is also left at the level of the base rate. Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Daniyar Akishev pointed to the risks of slowing down the rate of inflation reduction. He said: “The inflationary pressure from the domestic demand, which this year continues its recovery, and the indicator of the world economy as a whole are intensifying.”
