The price of nickel reached on Monday its highest level since August amid encouraging news about trade negotiations between the United States and China, as well as due to the fact that Chinese steelmakers are constantly increasing the demand for this metal. The US-China trade agreement is expected to be signed at the end of this month. By 17:20 Moscow time on Monday, nickel went up by 1.1%. Its cost reached 13 thousand 230 dollars per ton. Earlier during trading on the LME, the price rose to a maximum from August 30 level of 13,405 dollars per ton. Nickel this year shows the best dynamics among all metals traded on the LME. Its price since the beginning of the year increased by 24%.
