The merger of German chemical company Linde and American chemical company Praxair was approved by the US Federal Trade Commission. Thus, companies that received approval from the European Union in August overcame the last major obstacle. Completion of the deal is scheduled until October 24. As a result, the world's largest producer of industrial gases will appear in the world, the cost of which is estimated at approximately $86 billion. The FTC approved the deal on the condition that, in order to eliminate concerns about possible competition damage, both companies must sell part of their assets, including in nine segments of the US industrial gas market.
